Daily Affirmation

I've been in the regional anesthesia clinic for the last 5 weeks.  That means it's been 5 weeks since I last induced a single patient, 5 weeks away from a gas machine, and 5 weeks since I've laid my hands on a stick of propofol.  But all that's about to change because I'm back in the game starting tomorrow!  That's right, my return to the OR commences in just a few short hours and I couldn't be more excited.  And nervous.  Heck, you would be nervous to intubate a patient too if you hadn't picked up a laryngoscope in 5 weeks!

Which is why I plan on putting my own spin on this little girl's pep talk while looking in the mirror tomorrow morning:
